Secure Video Appointment

Telehealth can have many meanings. At Pace Counseling & Consultation LLC, it means the clinical social worker is in one location, the client is in another location, and the treatment involves the use of technology. We meet using audio and video over the internet. It is virtual therapy! Choosing this method of counseling depends on several factors.

Telehealth has potential benefits including: easier access to care, the convenience of meeting from a location of your choosing, potential reduced cost, decreased stigma, increased choice, and continuity of care.

There are also risks to consider. These include interruptions, unauthorized access, and technical difficulties. It can also bring confidentiality challenges on the client side (for example, if someone comes home unexpectedly or you are asked to leave a private space at work). It is NOT a covered benefit on all insurance plans. Call the 1-800 number on the back of your insurance card to speak to a representative about telehealth coverage for mental health.

Telehealth supports and promotes mental and public health. It is subject to the same standards of traditional practice. At this time, you must physically be in the state of Pennsylvania to engage in this service with Pace Counseling & Consultation LLC. An initial phone consultation is required to determine if this method is a good fit for your needs. You can contact us by phone or use the secure contact form to discuss this service.
